Crochet
I started crocheting in 2022 after my friends convinced me to take a free knitting class. That summer I met multiple artists making dolls at conventions and learned they all used crochet. So I set down the knitting needles, I grabbed a random 3.5mm hook we had lying around, found a jellyfish pattern my sister had gotten as a gift, and went to work.
By late 2022 I started working on developing my own patterns. I made a cute little ghost, a snake you can drape over your shoulders, and a variety of dice bags. I sold at my colleges Myths & Mules rennaissance fair. Now that I'm out of college I'm focusing on making things for friends & family, or whatever weird creature my heart desires. I crochet things for other people mostly because if I didn't give away my projects, my home would have no space.
Upcoming Projects
Marcus The Worm
My sister requested this VR cryptid for Chanukah, and I'm going to deliver. I've noticed most of the patterns out there are for Jumbo or Pillow weight yarn, so I'm developing my own pattern in Worsted. it will also have instructions for adding pipecleaners to the arms and legs for poseability!
Plague Doctor Mask
I've been trying to create my own plague doctor outfit for rennaissance fairs. I'm far from the only one though, and I've noticed I was always drawn to other plague doctors who had something unique about their design, something personal. So I decided to try and crochet my entire plague doctor fit. I'm going to start with the iconic mask, and hopefully move onto a hat, and eventually a coat. This is going to be a very long-term project but I am excited to take it on.
Custom Pieces
Dungeons & Dragons Plushies
In 2024 I wanted to surprise my D&D campaign, which we call Where Dreams Come From, with a custom doll of all the player characters (and of course, one NPC for the dungeon master!). My primary rule was to only use yarn and resources I already had. I had very little experience using felt for details, I had only ever put hair on 1 other doll before, and I still hated sewing pieces together. By the end of this project, I was completely confident in my sewing abilities, and I had a much better idea of how to cut, arrange, and bond felt to a piece. I truly learned to trust the process and jump into a project, regardless of whether I know how to do every detail perfectly, because I know I can learn.

Cosplay
I love the chance to combine my hobbies together! In 2023 my whole family did Pokemon themed cosplays, and I realized I could crochet Grusha's scarf myself. The scarf was a huge learning curve for how to weave in ends, and with 3 different color sections to weave in I got pretty good at it. The pokeball on the end took me 3 or 4 tries to get, and it was still a little (a lot) too big in the end. In any case I'm very proud of That piece and I keep it in my closet just in case I wanna wear a giant scarf in the winter!
That same year my mother went as Nurse Joy, and I just so happened to have some Pokemon pattern books on hand. I whipped her up a Chansey, Nurse Joy's partner Pokemon, to add to her costume. This was my first time using felt to add details (the eyes and mouth).
